Morocco Hotels
Please read this very interesting posting on Trip Advisor regarding postings for hotels or riads in Morocco. While many hotels do receive some fair reviews, it is a shame that many of these reviews are not as accurate as they should be. This is due to numerous factors, some of which are outlined in this interesting post linked below. We have had many a traveler come to Morocco and really want to plan their own rooms, based on what they read on Trip Advisor. However, they often are disappointed with what they have chosen due to false claims and hopes.
We live and work in Morocco and have employees whose jobs it is to scout our riads, guest houses, and hotels. We do not use a riad because they give us a good deal, discounts, commissions, or free rooms. We use them if we like them, if they are located in good areas, have excellent staff, and have high-quality, top-notch decor rooms that are worth the money that you are paying to stay in them. While it is not true in all cases, we hear in feedback that our travelers wish they had gone with the establishments that we had carefully chosen for them rather than those chosen solely on website photos or on Trip Advisor reviews. Alternatively, we also have clients who carefully choose some of their own rooms and end up being quiet happy with their selection.
