A forthcoming visit of a group from Spain will bring good news to Morocco’s football enthusiasts. Representatives from Atletico Madrid, a Spanish football club, will announce plans of starting a football school in Tetouan, according to leaders of Moghreb Athletico de Tetouan football club. The two organizations will collaborate on the effort to establish the school. Leaders of the Spanish football club will visit Morocco from July 12th to the 13th. Atletico Madrid has football schools similar to the one they want to establish in Tetouan, Morocco in other countries around the world. Tetouan is a northern Moroccan city.
Members of the delegation from Spain will take part in the celebration for Tetouan’s third place results in the national football champions.Visitors will observe the Moghreb Athletico de Tetouan general assembly. Among those in the group will be the chairman of the Spanish team, the foundation’s general director, a rep from the fan club association, and the communications director for Atletico Madrid.
Moghreb Athletico de Tetouan team chairman, Abdelmalak Abroun, related how this partnership will be an asset to plus give a boost to football in Morocco. Atletico Madrid is a well known world class team. Linking with it will give MAT a chance to promote football in Morocco and Tetouan in particular. Having this link to the Spanish organization will give, not only, Moghrab Athletico de Tetouan, but other clubs in Morocco as well a chance to benefit from having a football school.
Members of the Spanish group plan on meeting with Moroccan football governing officials in Rabat. Delegation members will meet with the fan club associations of Moghrab Athletico de Tetouan. Announcement of creating a division of supporters of Atletico Madrid supporters will be made.
This important meeting is the outcome from a visit of representatives from Moghreb Athletico de Tetouan to the Spanish club. It also resulted in the partnership of the two organizations.
