Morocco’s Alloudi Out
It is time for Morocco’s team to demonstrate its many talents according to Coach Henri Michel. Atlas Lions will have to play its next two games without striker Soufiane Alloudi. Alloudi suffered a knee injury in Morocco’s opening game against Namibia. He will not play until the second round. Coach Henri Michel regrets that the star player will miss the games but he reassured that the other players have the potential for compensating the loss of the striker.
Morocco will play Guinea on the 24th. The following Monday, the team plays against Ghana, the host team. Guinea is said to be a good team who has technical elements and they play modern football. Morocco is seeking its place in the quarter final round of the tournament.
Morocco soccer team defeated Namibia 5-1 in their opening match on Monday. Guinea lost by one point to Ghana in their game. Thursday is the last chance for the Guinea team to stay in the fray. If Guinea loses it will jeopardize its chance of being the third-best team in Africa in the official standings. Morocco tops Ghana with a better goal average to set at the top of Group A. Ghana will play Namibia in their next round.
