Morocco Atlas Lions Strong
Atlas Lions of Morocco are having a cakewalk to qualify for the Nation’s Cup. They have dominated the league in which they play. They had no problem with Malawi or Zimbabwe in recent competitons.
Considered to be underachieving in 2004, the team is thought as one of the powerhouses of region now. French coach, Raymond Domench, commented that the Moroccan team plays world class football. The Atlas Lions players are strong and talented.
Filled with players that have been playing in Europe, it has adequate strength to go to the top. Expectations are high, given that the local Moroccan coach was replaced by veteran, Henri Michel. Under his guidance, the Atlas Lions gave a great performance against France in the Can 2008. The team was applauded by the opposition and proved they have the right stuff to win the Nation’s Cup.
