A Morocco Holiday Visit

The thought of traveling to Morocco is enough to make anyone get excited. With peculiar names of cities–such as Marrakesh, Tangier, Casablanca, chefchaouen, Fez and Essaouira–why wouldn’t someone want to see it for themselves? Busy streets, large crowds, friendly smiles, intense debates; as soon as you arrive in Morocco you will know that you have come to a seemingly different world. Sure, it will be different than the environment you are used to, but that’s the whole idea of traveling–to experience the thrills and different areas of the world!

Travelers would want to visit Morocco not only for its inherent beauty but also because of its valuable and interesting history. The Berbers are a major part of the country as they have been a part of its history since the beginning of humankind, never once being conquered by any outside invaders.

The best time to vacation or holiday in Morocco is in the months from October to April as these are the cooler months and allow visitors to travel to any part of the country, with a small window for climbing to the top of Mount Toubkal in the High Atlas Mountains.

Whether you like to sit on the beach all day or walk around gazing through shop windows, Morocco has something for everybody. If you are into skiing, you would want to be in Morocco from December through to March as this is the best time for such activities. If you don’t want to go to Morocco during peak season, avoid taking your vacation from June to September as these are the busiest months and areas are bound to be more crowded than usual, but the country is still highly visitable.

Morocco is mainly made up of the Muslim culture as 98% of its inhabitants are Muslim while 1% is Christian and another 1% is Jewish. The language to speak in this country is Moroccan Arabic a.k.a. Darija, so if you are planning a Morocco holiday, you might want to learn a bit of this language. It can be really fun and not to mention a great advantage!

Spend some time in one or all of the beautiful cities Morocco has to offer, and put your shopping skills to practice. Or, relax in the sun with some newfound Moroccan or Berber friends or just be on your own to walk around the city, taking in the pleasures of Morocco.
