Moroccan Sports Federation celebrated its 50th anniversary of establishment. Prince Moulay Rachid lead the celebration by reaffirming his commitment to the values and practice of sports in Morocco.
He praised the Federation and Moroccan Athletes for their accomplishments. His Highness noted that the many talented sports men and women in Morocco are representing the country in high esteem. He lauded their positive influence on sport by their sportsmanship and citizenship.
Prince Moulay Rachid further said that sports is an important part of the Moroccan culture because it pervades and unites the lives of the citizens. Moreover, it contributes to a healthy lifestyle that helps to prevent sickness and injury caused by inactivity in Moroccan people.
Among the celebration activities was a visit to the sports museum. There he viewed an exhibition of postage stamps and pictures depicting the rich history of Moroccan sports. Many of the pictures were of His Majesty who has a long record of supporting and promoting Moroccan sports and players.
