A group of volunteers from an organization in England called FISSSC are heading to Mount Jbel Toubkal in Morocco in order to raise money for the children with disabilities. The volunteer organization is hoping to raise thousands of dollars in hopes to support their Families in Support of Special Needs Swimming Club. The association’s alternative approach to dealing with disabilities has caught the eye of world-wide media. The FISSSC’s mantra is to “challenge disability through adventure”.
The group believes that children with disabilities should have adventure in their life, that it promotes quality living and teaches everyone involved that no one should set limit themselves or their dreams. The swimming club, located in England, has been abiding by these same goals for over two decades, lead by young volunteers.
Many of the volunteers heading out of England into Morocco have never set foot into another country, which will be a two-fold challenge. They’ll not only have to deal with the extreme challenges of the mighty Mount Toubkal, but they’ll also have to open their minds to a completely different culture and way of living.
Donations for the campaign are going strong and every donation makes a difference. If you’d like to donate, click on Donate to the FISSSC.
