Map of Morocco

Map of Morocco for Travel Tours

Morocco is a land full of stark contrasts. In a theoretical sense, a traveler might sit on the beach at Essaouira, climb Mount Toubkal, and ride a camel into the Sahara Dunes in Merzouga at sunset. Morocco is separated geographically by the High Atlas Mountains and the Middle Atlas Mountains. Morocco’s northern most mountain range is the Rif mountains, famous for towns such as Tetouan and Chefchaouen. On the Morocco map above, it might seem as if Morocco is a small country. In actuality, it is about half the size of California. While the roads are good and there are interstates (auto routes and highways), driving from place to place takes time. The distance between Fez and Marrakesh, for example, is an entire day’s journey of six to nine hours, depending upon weather and road conditions. Journey Beyond Travel would be happy to explain any questions you might have in regard to this map of Morocco, or about any of our various tours.
