Day 1 - Marrakech to the Tezian Village
The walk begins at Imi Ourlad and continues up
the valley to the Tizi Ntacht (2200 meters). You
would then have lunch in Imi Nifri and continue
onward to the Tezian Village with a stay in a
mountain lodge / guest house. The walk today
would be around four to five hours.
Day 2 - Tezian Tizi Ntawtilte
You continue upward steadily to 2400 meters and a
follow with a nice slope down to Asakka.
Following lunch in Cantuny Azib, you will be
heading down to Issllan Thkent, a quaint Berber
Village. Today’s walking time would be around
five hours.
Day 3 - Thkent Azib Assoull / Tizi Oussem
The walk to Tizi Tagdalt at 3000 meters gives you
a breathtaking view of the entire valley. And,
the walk today is a little longer at around six
hours total. However, you end in the humble
village of Tizi Oussem. Here, the refuge / lodge
has a wonderful hammam (small spa room) that you
can use to freshen up and enliven yourself for
the trekking ahead.
Day 4 - Tizi Oussem / Azib Tamssoult
Today, we will go by a waterfall and enjoy lunch
overlooking the scenic valley. In the spring, it
is a valley full of terraced farms, and in the
fall it is more dry and golden. We will continue
a few hours to Refuge Lepiny, a small guest house
at 3000 meters that where the lights of Marrakesh
appear under a blanket of stars. The total
walking time today is four hours.
Day 5 - Refuge Lepiny / Tizi Aglzim (3950
meters)
Today will be a great climb! You will walk a few
hours and enjoy lunch in Agny Cantuny and
continue over the peak of Tizi Aglzim to the
famed Refuge Neltner at 3207 meters, the baseamp
for Mount Toubkal. The total walking time is from
five to six hours today.
Day 6 - Refuge Neltner (3208 meters)
Today, you will be able to wake up early, in
between four and five in the morning and prepare
for your summit of Mount Toubkal. Getting to the
summit takes about three to four hours. The last
part of the hike has some scree, but in winter
the walking is actually easier as the snow is
packed (until mid-June) and makes for easier
walking. Once at the peak, snacks can be had
before heading back down to the Nelter Basecamp.
Following, you will walk by Sidi Chamarouch all
the way to Armed. Here, the guest house has a
hammam and comfortable beds. The walking time
today varies. It tends to be around seven hours,
but could last nearly ten depending upon factors
such as weather and fitness levels.
Day 7 - Armed / Tamatert Tizi n’ Tamatert
(2279 meters)
You will be able to take the route from Targa
Imoulla to Tamatert this morning and enjoy lunch
by the Cantuny river. Following, you will be able
to continue to tachdirt, a village guest house.
The total trekking time today is around five
hours.
Day 8 - Tachdirt / Marrakesh
You will be able to head down to the Imnan Valley
and to the village of Ownskera, Tamguest, and
Tinghrin and through the Ikkis Tizi for lunch
near the village of Agrssiwal before getting
tranportation back to Marrakech.
