Morocco Tours Mountain Splendor Trip

This Morocco tour is great for those who would prefer exploring the Imperial cities of Rabat, Meknes, Fez, and Marrakesh. This itinerary would give you time to visit cultural and historical sites, shop in the souks, stay in quaint riads, and sample fine Moroccan cuisine.

Day 1: Begin in Casablanca
Arrive in Casablanca. If you have time, you can visit the Hassan II Mosque, Habbous quarter, and the art deco buildings in the center of the city.

You have the full day to explore the capital city of Rabat. You can wander around on your own or take a guided visit of the best sites this city has to offer, such as the Hassan Tower and Mohammed V Mausoleum, Chellah Gardens and Necropolis, and the Oudayas Kasbah overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

Another full day to explore the sites in Meknes. You can explore on your own or have a guide show you the impressive gate, know as "Bab Mansour", the Hedim Square, the tomb of Moulay Ismail, and the stables and granary. Spend the night at a quaint riad in the Meknes medina.

Day 4: Fez
Leave Meknes and head to Fez. You can opt to do a side trip to visit the sacred town of Moulay Idriss Zerhoun, grandson of the prophet Mohammed and first Arab leader of Morocco. The town has an interesting history since non-Muslims weren’t allowed to enter at one time. Five minutes away is the ancient Roman City of Volubilis, where you can take a guided visit or roam amidst the ruins.

Day 5: Fez
Spend the day taking a guided tour with a local Moroccan guide who will show you what this Imperial City has to offer, such as the Kairouine Mosque, spice market, tanneries and leather market, pottery quarter, henna market, woodcrafters, metal workers, and koranic schools.

Day 6: Fez to Marrakesh
You can take the train or we can arrange private transportation for. It will take 8 hours to get from Fez to Marrakesh. Tonight you can go to the lively Jemaa el Fna Square to watch the performers and sample some tasty delights at different stalls.
