Kayoko grew up in Osaka, where frequent family trips across western Japan sparked an early love for travel and regional culture. After moving to Tokyo, she continued exploring the country and has now visited 39 of Japan’s 47 prefectures, developing a deep, firsthand understanding of its landscapes, traditions, and food culture. During university, Kayoko began traveling internationally and soon realized how transformative travel could be. She went on to live for extended periods in Canada, Nepal, Bali, and the United States, while also traveling throughout Europe. A later trip to Morocco introduced her to surfing and deepened her appreciation for active, place-based travel and cultural exchange. Today, Kayoko designs thoughtful itineraries that balance iconic destinations with quieter, meaningful experiences. One of her most memorable places in Japan is Dorokyo Gorge, where the emerald river winds through dramatic cliffs and forests. She aims to help travelers experience Japan in ways that feel personal, enriching, and memorable.

Born in South Africa and raised in Vancouver, Anika has made Iceland her home for more than a decade. With a background in business administration and a master’s in coastal and marine resource management, she has even served with the Icelandic Search and Rescue team. As a Travel Expert, she combines her professional expertise with years of exploring Iceland’s most remote regions, like the dramatic cliffs of Hornstrandir in the Westfjords or the volcanic landscapes of Þórsmörk in the southern highlands. She delights in uncovering hidden trails, secret waterfalls, and quiet corners few travelers see. When not designing tailor-made journeys, Anika enjoys strolling through Reykjavík’s botanical gardens, relaxing in the country’s newest natural spas, and sharing her love for Iceland’s unique culture and landscapes with fellow travelers.
